The Reason For This Sabbatical Blog

Welcome to my sabbatical blog.

From April to July 2024 I shall be on sabbatical from my usual role as Moderator of Mersey Synod of the United Reformed Church in the UK.

My theme is Liverpool's links to slavery and it's effect on the church.

I aim to explore the links of the Free Churches with slavery in the past and then think about what is currently being done to fight slavery in our world today.

I am grateful for all those who have given time to help me in my work and those organisations who have sponsored me and given me grants that will enable me to travel and meet the global church.
