Another Sunday Morning

Today it was our pleasure to meet at Immanuel United Church in Tower Isle. Being in church felt like coming home. Although it was very different the warmth of the people, the exuberance of their praise and their interest in us made us feel welcome. We met

Jacquie from Bromley and another lady from Walsall both over to take a break from the UK and its grey, cold winter. The church had a good number and people appeared to value and cherish their time together to catch up, worship and hear the gospel preached.

The service today was led by the youth group and the theme was Resurrection Ignites Passion. The lady who preached spoke on Acts 8 and how the Word and the Spirit come together it leads to effective evangelism. Look it up if you don't know what I'm talking about.

After two and a half hours we left feeling uplifted, welcomed and challenged to change the world. Thank you to all at Immanuel. (Especially the guy who played the trumpet and complimented the singing superbly).

In the afternoon we played the tourists and went for a glass bottom boat ride along the reef. It was a nice change that gave us a different perspective of Ochi as we spoke to locals and heard their stories and aspirations.
